My client had been keeping her hair long for her wedding in Italy. Now she’s married she decided to go for a change. She told me she liked reds and coppers and just wanted shorter hair.
The colour was done first then the cut. Three colours were mixed up; a red, a copper and a dark brown. The red and copper were alternated through the underneath section of the hair in foils then the dark brown was placed in between and around the foils. Once the colour was all on we waited for it to take.
Next the colour was rinsed from the hair and shampoo and conditioner was used. Thermal protector was applied to the hair to prevent heat damage and a leave in conditioner was sprayed onto the hair for nourishment and shine.
The hair was sectioned so the graduation of the bob could be cut in. Next the base line of the shape was cut in to give the nice rounded shape that only a bob has. The sides were blended onto the back and a few layers and slight texture were then added. The texture helps the colours break through the style nicely. Once the hair was blow dried and straightened some weight through the back section was removed. A moulding crème was the choice for the finishing product. It shows off the newly added texture and smooth shape of the bob without making the hair look heavy or greasy.
